Faux Marble

I BOUGHT A 100 YEAR OLD HOUSE. ONE OF THE PREVIOUS OWNERS PAINTED A FAUX MARBLE FINISH ON EITHER OLD OAK HARDWOOD OR OLD HEART OF PINE FLOORING. THESE ARE THE ORGINIAL FLOORS IN THE HOUSE. MY QUESTION IS - WHAT IS THE 'BEST' WAY TO GET THE PAINT OFF THE WOOD AND RESTORE THE FLOOR TO ORGINIAL BEAUTY? CHEMICALS, SANDING, HEAT GUN??? JAY

Finishing wood floors

You might want to read the bible of floor finishing at www.finishingwoodfloors.com before you begin your project. Sanding is the preferred method used in refinishing wood floors.
