install laminate floor prior to erecting a wall?

we are having a wall installed in our rec room. the wall will split the rec room into two separate rooms joined by a door. our contractor will not be able to install the wall for a couple of months. he said we may want to consider installing the laminate floor now and he could build the wall over it. at first i thought this would be a good idea, however, i then thought about the floor expanding and contracting. will installing a wall over the laminate floor present a problem?

I hope he isn't planning on anchoring the wall through the laminate! It wouls trap it and lock the floor in. This can cause buckling or separation of the joints later.

Install the wall and then install the laminate.
