Hand Orbital Sander For a Small Room Refin?
Hi folks,
I have a somewhat small kitchen (probably 8x12 of floor space), with a hardwood floor. The finish is well worn, appears almost nonexistent, and the grain is open in some spots, so I'm guessing it's some sort of oil or wax finish (but I don't know much about hardwood floor finishes). I own a handheld Dewalt orbital sander, and I'm wondering if it would be crazy to use that to sand this size floor - considering that the finish appears to be pretty thin, and the room is relatively small. Additionally, I want a finish that will stand up to kitchen use - heavy traffic and spills... any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Even the large rental orbital sander would take a long time so you would probably go insane with a hand orbital. Here's an article about the rental orbital. It doesn't take a lot of skill compared to a drum sander but is slow.
