Tape Used for Moisture Barrier

Is there a special kind of tape to tape the plastic sheets used as moisture barrier beneath laminate floor? I asked guys at HD and they showed me the multipurpose masking tapes! Thanks.

Any cellulose tape will do. "Tuck Tape" is a red cellulose tape normally used to seal plastic vapour barrier seams. HD stocks it with the vapour barrier rolls. But common clear packing tape is sticky enough and stops moisture.

Clear packing tape is what is supplied by the 2-n-1 underlayment manufacturers send in the packing with there underlayment, when it doesn't have a peel & stick edges.

Don't use paper or duct tapes.
