My husband and I are going to instal the hardwood flooring in our kitchen. We Know we will need to use the 1/4" since we will be installing over the existine vinyl flooring, however we have encountered 1 major ploblem the dishwasher. The feet on the bottom of the dishwasher are turned almost all the way up. Another words if I were to take the feet off we might get the dishwasher back under the cabinet since there is less than 1/8" between the dishwasher top and bottom of counter top. If we install the hard wood just up to the feet we won't be able to get the dishwasher out if something happens without removing part of the floor, though at this point that may be our only option. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, I hope to get some help, I notice some dont get any answers on here, and sure would be greatfull for some help, I am putting in laminate in my upstairs L shape Kitchen/dining and living room, the kitchen/dining area has a viynal floor and has 1/4 underlayment board under it, I need to install 1/4 in living room and hall way so the sub floor is all the same height, my question is how often does this need to nailed down, I am using ringshank nails, and stagering the 4x8 sheets of 1/4. Thanks in advance for your help... :o
