Acclimating laminate flooring

How important is it to acclimate quick clic laminate wood flooring? We live at the coast and company installing live about fifty miles away in the valley. They have immediately begun installing in without having ANY time for the wood to acclimate. What do you advise? Help! Please!

HACKS!!!

In each carton of the laminate, there should be installation specifications. Sometimes it is printed on the inside of the cartons.

Open a carton and find it!

Acclimation is very important in a laminate installation!!!! Crucial, as a matter of fact.

Acclimation is a MINIMUM, again... MINIMUM of 48 hours or in other words 2 full days, MINIMUM!!

I acclimate laminate for 7 days, before I'll install it!!!

Each laminate manufacturer tends to have very specific instructions for acclimation, subfloor prep, vapor retarders, cushion, adhesive, and installation. These must be followed to maintain any warranties and to prevent installation issues.
