We have a Pergo floor with a small (couple inch long)gouge perhaps a quarter inch deep in it. Any suggetions for how to fill it and refinish it?

If you have a couple of pieces left over, take a small piece and sand it with a rough paper. Save the sanded dust, and mix it with an epoxy, then apply to the gouge. You will still be able to see it a little, but it will be more noticable to you rather then anyone else. It will also fill the hole and keep the dirt out. Good Luck

No floor is indestructible. Pergo is aware of this... which is why Pergo makes repair putty to blend with most of their current flooring colors. Though the repair is cosmetic it is much easier and cheaper that removing and replacing damaged boards.
