Question

I am interested in putting a prefinished wood plank floor in my kitchen and hallway but the floors of this building are concrete. Can forgo a wood subfloor and use an adhesive for the project?

Cool

If it was my house, I'd put in a sub-floor first. You might also want to consider using thin foam backing similar to the backing designed for laminate floors. This will soften the floor and provide sone insulation keeping the floor a little warmer.

Here's some good stuff to check on: http://ardex.com/link-comm.htm#flooring&wood

and yet another product that may work for you: http://rapidfloor.com/lrpl.htm
