Wood Floor Care / Veg Oil
#1

I was told that fixing a solution of vinegar and vegtable oil was good for wood floors. Is this true for finished floors and if so, what ratio of each to water? John

Hi John,
Sorry I didn't catch your question earlier. I'm the moderator for cleaning and it's been busy over there the last couple of weeks. Only use vinegar and water on your floor. About 1/2 cup vinegar in a gallon of water.
Whatever you do, don't use the darn selfwringing mops on your floor. They leave too much water which will work between the boards and warp the edges. Use a terry towel and wring out all the excess moisture. Then it's safe to clean.
