Pine Floors
#1

Hello!
I am hoping someone can help me understand if there is a difference between the time, effort, skill required to refinish wide-plank pine floors versus narrow-plank hardwood floors. I've gotten an estimate for refinishing my wide-plank pine floors, and the cost per square foot is "mucho grande". Should I expect that, or try it myself?
Thank you in advance!

No, your estimate is probably right on the money. The reason is pine is a soft wood, and hardwood is a hard wood. Much the same method, except alot slower. Redoing pine plank flooring is an art learned over time.It is definetly not a DIY project. Call your contractor and ask when he can start. Good Luck.
