Question

Does one use regular Clorox or what? Also, has anyone heard of a combination of boiled linseed oil and kerosene as a finish, rather than poly?

Oxalic acid (or wood bleach) is used to bleach floors. It should be available at flooring stores.

I would stay away from kerosene as a finishing medium. It is flammable and it stinks. Linseed oil will never dry. Boiled lindseen will dry. I recommend the eurthanes on the market. They are tough and not difficult to apply.
