Concrete Slab Leveling
#1
Just pulled up carpet and I'm looking to level my concrete subfloor. What is the best way (quickest drying)to level? ANd how long is the drying time? I'm in southern California if that is helpful. Thank you!

I wouldn't be concerned here as general substrate variances for hardwood is 1/4" over a span of ten feet. Considering you are using both plywood and 3/4" solid hardwood, either one or both will "bridge" any small amount of uneveness.
If you're still concerned you could use a fast setup material such as Mapei Plani Patch. Read the directions carefully as this stuff hardens in a bucket within 15 minutes, depending on conditions.
Good Luck
