Engineered Bruce Hardwood Refinishing
I installed a Bruce engineered hardwood floor with a dura-last finish which was suppose to have a 10 year warranty in '99. The finish has lost its luster in the high traffic areas and looks like it is about to go though to the bare wood. The factory rep (a local installer) said that the floor needed to be screened and refinished or the floor would be ruined. After about 3 months and numerious calls the factory rep said that Bruce would not do the refinishing under warranty. I do not want to use his company to do the work What is the best way to do the work? I haven't been able to find anything for engineered plank (which has a veneer rather than solid wood)? What about the "dustless" chemical products like tykote
