Hot tubs and laminate flooring

I will be having a 13'x22' sunroom addition built on my house. It will have a plywood subfloor. Can a hot tub be placed on laminate flooring without any foreseeable moisture problems? What would be the best product for this application?Would Pergo Select work or should I consider using Mannington Icore as it is a plastic extruded product? Also should I be concerned about the weight of th tub on the flooring? Will it adversly affect the stability of the surrounding boards?

I'd shy away from a wood core laminate, in fact all laminates can be pretty slippery when wet. As far as the weight thing, you may run into some problems because the bottom of the hot tub will heat up and the wood will need to move due to expansion. Also, you'd be getting an irregular expansion on the floor.

There are some newer laminates that they classify as waterproof, however, when you read the small print, they are water proof until you cut them.
