Question Dumb Question - Acclimate Hardwood Floor

This is probably a dumb question to ask but when my BR111 Braz Cherry 3/4" solid floor arrives exactly how do I acclimate it? I will have about 20 boxes. Do I need to actually take the wood out of the boxes or can I leave it all in the boxes and just set it in the house?

Get out your trusty moisture meter. Poke the flooring from several cartons and poke the subfloor in many locations. When those 2 readings are within 2 -3% points of each other, your wood is acclimated. I would open both ends on the cartons and stack them criss-cross on each other no more then 3 cartons high in each stack.

I would also open every carton before the installation, to be positive all the cartons are the same color variations. BR-111 is bad about cartoning each variation of color in a separate carton, each.

Get down to the end of a job and open the last 5 cartons, and finding they are all really light in variation is a job killer! Has happened to me twice now in the last year. BR-111 does not premix the variations before they are cartoned. You have to do their job for them now.

Br111

Do you recommend against BR111? I could also go with Pennington Hardwoods and they are only two hours away from me.
