Unhappy Laminate end moulding

I laid laminate flooring in my mobile home last year over new 3/4 pressure treated plywood floors. I have had no trouble with the laminate itself.

However, the end moulding onto a carpeted floor in one bedroom keeps coming out of the track underneath, and ultimately it broke the last time.

I suspect I should not glue the replacement to the flooring since that takes out the "float" but any other ideas about how I can get it not to break again ?? (other than not letting my dogs run in the house )

Thanks

use a construction adhesive to adhere the insert into the track, and use a small bead to adhere the transition to the insert. Weigh it down overnight.

We've done that often when replacing a board, and re-using the existing transitions, with no problems.
