floor leveling alternative
I would like to add laminate floor to a second floor room measuring approx 17' x 15'. The subfloor is 3/4 T&G plywood, however, there is about a 1/2" plus sag in the middle of the 17' span. I am not really in need of a self leveling product as I would easily be able to screed across the dip to level, and I am not sure I would need a cement-based product, as I am not tiling. Is there any alternate products such as latex patch used under vinyl that might be more affordable or practical. Thanks once again for all the advice!

Self-leveling compounds are made with latex so that they will settle and find their natural level. You might want to check the products at www.ardex.com
