removing ceramic tile to install hardwood

Wife wants hardwood to go through kitchen to matxh flooring in dining room. Here's the problem, ceramic tile laid with thin set over subfloor with an extra 1/2" plywood that brought the two surfaces flush. Also the entire floor was laid in kitchen before and cupboard installation. Can this tile floor be cut out around cupboards along with the extra 1/2" subfloor so that new hardwood flooring can be installed? Thanks for your help.

Yes. you will need the right tools or better yet...hire that part out.
This will require a toe-kick saw with the optional dry-cut diamond blade to make the first cut through the tile. Remove those tiles to get down to the plywood then use the toekick saw again with either of the two sizes of wood blades available to cut through the rest. These saws have a real kick to them and can be dangerous if you are not careful. Safety glasses and a dust mask are a must.
