Baseboard molding repair with minimum tools

I have old termite damage in about two feet of a baseboard. I want to replace four feet of the baseboard. What is the easiest way with the simplest tools to cut out four feet of the baseboard to do a replacement (assuming I can match what I have now at some box store).

It is going to be easier to remove the baseboard back to a splice or in it's entirety, in one piece. That makes cutting it clean and crisp, without cutting up the drywall.
