Kronoswiss laminate from builddirect.com

I am planning to install laminate flooring in my house and came accross builddirect.com, an online retailer which offers very compettitve pricing. I am looking to buy these two kronoswiss laminate from them:

1) 7mm Laminate Flooring - Fix It Series
# AC 3 Rated
# 15 Year Warranty

2) 10mm Laminate Flooring - Swiss Plank Elite Series
# AC 4 Rated
# 25 Year Warranty
# Beveled Edge

I was wondering if any one had any experience with either builddirect.com or Kronoswiss brand. Any input will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
nirvana

Welcome to forum nirvana!

I have not experienced nor familiar with Kronoswiss but IMO if I had to choose, I would choose with the one that has a longer warranty.

Also, a brand that's been around as along as the warranty.

Here are a post previous post about Kronoswiss. You can also use the search engine and type in Kronoswiss or anything else and you will find a lot of previous posts that might help you in the meantime.

My wife and I just got through installing about 1600 sq ft of Kronoswiss Noblesse 8mm laminate. I absolutely love it. It is not very difficult to install and it looks great. We got a heck of a deal through a local distributor @ $1.49/sq ft. It took us a little over a month to get the whole house done. The toughest part of the install was the creative cuts that had to be made around the door jams. If I only new then what I new now, things could have been a lot easier. If you have not already done so, make sure that you buy the installation block, spacers and spend the extra money for the heavy duty bent metal piece that helps knock the wood in place next to walls. I went through the first smaller one in about 2 weeks. Get a good blade on your saw and cut with the color side up. Good luck and reference this site. I did and it helped out a lot.

I bought from BuildDirect and had a wonderful

experience with them. We didn't buy the Kronoswiss, but we bought the Robina and we are extremely pleased with the product. Our installer told us it was top-quality product and it installed like a dream.
