Hardwood Floor Refinishing - Quick & Dirty

I have a rental house that has some wood flooring. I do not have the time, expertise, or $$ to completely refinish (prep/sand/stain/poly). Is there a method or product to spruce up the floors? They're in fair shape now. Thanks

Assuming you have polyurethane finish, clean floors with vinegar/water solution (1/2 cup in 1 gallon of water). Hardwood floors should never be waxed or oiled or cleaned with products that contain waxes or oils. Instruct renters to not use products like Murphy's Oil Soap or citrus-whatever products which can dull and soften finish over time. If floors have been waxed, you can rewax. Floors that have been waxed or oiled become contaminated and there will be adhesion problems when refinishing. There are commercial cleaners for hardwood floors. Make sure the label specifically states safe for polyurethane finish. There are restorer/refresher products available such as sold by Bona Kemi.
