Floating hardwood floor????

Floating hardwood floor????

Is it possible to lay a floating hardwood floor on to particle board?? there is laminate down at present.

Floating flooring can be installed over particleboard subfloor as long as it is flat. If existing laminate is floating, it will have to be removed first.

Thanks, would it have to be the engineered stuff or could it be solid?

It is not recommended to attempt to float a solid.
