hard wood flooring in the bathroom

hard wood flooring in the bathroom

is it feasable to install hardwood flooring in the bathroom....Will the moisture warp the floor...any idea's appreciated...Thanks

Not a good idea...............unless you have no kids, never get out of the tub wet, etc., etc. Water and wood are not good companions, even with the best of conditions.

I think I would put hard wood in a half bath i.e. to tub or shower. I do think that it would last longer then some of the laminate they "say" you can put it in the bathroom. But as my father says, "water on wood no good."

If you don't mind a little swelling and then maybe some cupping, with a possible buckled spot. Then if you don't use the bath, it will shrink from being swelled, and have gaps.
