Kitchen installation - Wilsonart Estate planks

Howdy, This will be my first laminated floor installation. I have ordered Wilsonart Estate flooring (not here yet) and will be taking a class tomorrow from the local Home Depot in Madison, WI. Just found this forum today..very helpful!

Here's my questions,

(1) This will be a kitchen installation, we have a movable island counter which is 6 ft. long. I was hoping to be able to set the island on top of the wilsonart. Will this cause a problem with the floor floating?

(2) Should I glue the planks together or just lock together? A local Wilsonart dealer recommends using the wilsonart glue.

Your thoughts please!

Thanks
