Necessity of 15lb. Asphalt Felt Paper

I am about to lay down some 3/8"thk x 3"wd engineered boards. I am using the staple down method. The manufacturer recommends laying down a layer of 15lb. asphalt felt paper. They claim that is will help keep the floor clean and help to retard moisture from below.

Now I understand this, however, I have already built a subfloor with a Delta Fl 1/4" polyethylene dimpled membrane and Advantech Sheathing on top of that. So what is the asphalt paper going to do for me? Since I already have a moisture barrier, can I skip the felt paper? Does it provide any other benefits?

Some say it helps reduce floor squeaking too.

Right. A friend of mine suggested I use the red rosin paper. Apparently the asphalt paper can smell when the floor heats up. As I don't need an additional moisture barrier, I think I will go for the red rosin.
