Holes from carpet tack strips

Hello all,

I am getting ready to "attempt" to install Uniboard Pacifica Lock'n Seal laminate that I purchased from Sams club. I am currently in the 48 hour acclimation phase and will start install on Monday.

I pulled up the carpet and vinyl and have noticed holes/dents where the carpet tack strips were pulled up. Do I need to fill these in prior to installation. If so with what?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

You could if you want, with some floor leveling compound, but I dont think it would be necessary..as the X-tack strips/holes should be pretty close to the wall (what-about an inch or so off the wall) and shouldnt interfere with the way the laminate lays there.... So long as there are no raised bumps
Just my $.02 worth.

Since it is so close to the wall, no, they don't "need" to be filled. Across trasition areas, I like to fill them, so the transition molding has a flat surface to mount to.
