Laminate installation too close to the wall

I'm installing laminate flooring in the dining room / kitchen area and am down to the last row before I'm all done. We found though that after we lay the last row down there will be a 1.5 inch gap to the wall. I was thinking as i laid each piece of the last row down I could slide a 1.5 inch piece in next to it (the 1.5 inch hits the drywall so I can snap it in place).

Is there a better way to do it?

Wait a minute...you ARE leaving an expansion gap wherever the floor and wall meet right?
