Problem with my wood floors..NEED HELP

Hello friends,

I currently have wood floors. Dark oak color. I know as a fact they were stained and then coated with semi gloss polyrethane almost 3 months ago.

I repaired around 120 sg. ft. of a 400 sq ft. living room. I just repaired a section. I taped off the planks that I would only repair. I used the same semi gloss sheen. I did 4 coats, of course sanding between in each coat.

I finnaly let the last coat dry over night. I woke up this morning to find that the section that I did looks more dull then the other sections of wood floors. You can see the difference best when looking at the floor at an angle. Looking down at it it looks more similar.

Whats going on here???? I used the same sheen. I didnt let any puddles form nor did i have any brush strokes. I mixed about 5% mineral spirits with the polyurethane to thin out a bit also. Shouldnt the new polyurethane shine more then the older......?????????????????
I HAVE PICTURES, BUT I CANT POST THEM UP HERE FOR SOME REASON

Should I buff with an orbital machine to bring up the shine???
