how to remove foam insulation from hardwood

We have new Bruce hardwood flooring with the dura Luster finish. A contractor spilled 'Great Stuff' foam insulation on it. It had nearly completely hardened when I found it and I was unable to get it all up. There remains a hard residue that was tracked across the floor. Is there anything that will remove the insulation without ruining the floor's finish? Not so 'great' where I sit..

Check the instructions on the "Great Stuff"... there should be a line telling what solvent works to remove it. Hopefully, that solvent won't also remove the finish on your new wood flooring.

The can was the first place I looked...much to my dismay it's states if the foam has cured that there is no solvent that will remove it. Just hoping someone else out there has had better luck with my misfortune.....

Seems to me it's up to the contractor to fix this.

Indeed....I was just being proactive
He found a product called 'Goo-off' and the foam came up with a little scrubbing. Floors look great and everyone's happy. Thanks....
