Anyone Installed Hardwood Locking Floor System

Hubby and I am on a mission to do a majority of our remodel on a home we just purchased. We found a really nice handscraped locking system wood at Lowe's. We pulled the carpet up last nite and it would be installed on a cement floor, all the glue and tacking has been cleaned up as well. Has anyone done an install like this before and any gotcha's you can advice on?

Indeed, you need to make sure that you abide by the flooring manufacture's warranty, this will protect your investment AND give you the best results as well.

With that being said, Industry Standards are 1/8" in a 6' span or 3/16" in a 10' span (This is in reference to "deflection".

Install the recommended underlayment and maintain the gap around the perimeter. All of these requirements are in the instructions/warranty card and you should read this with great attention to details, if in doubt... call the MANUFACTURE of the flooring, don't ask the neighbor or a Lowe's wanna be flooring guy/gal! You will want to protect your investment!

I do not know the manufacture of the flooring you are going to buy, but I am sure you can find a link to the manufacture's web site online
