Insulating Concrete Slab Before Carpet

I want to insulate the concrete slab my family room is on before I re-carpet.

What do you guys think about the engineered squares I see at places like Lowes? They are a tongue and groove system of squares that I think are link 18" square, have a black plastic bottom with reverse dimples and what looks like an OSB top layer.

Worth the $$$???

Better ideas????

I did, I don't recall the price exactly, but I thought it was just over a dollar a sq ft.

Before I saw that I was considering pink foam board with plywood on top of that....
