Tile at entrance on laminate - how to?

I have laminate (wood) flooring in my living room that also extends to the main entrance of my home. I bought the home and didn't notice the damage caused by rain water getting under door. I have fixed the cause of the original damage (gutters outside and door sweep) and no longer get much moisture at door during heavy rains.

However, there is the damage at the entrance with peeling laminate. I temporarily glued down the laminate where it peeled and the damage isn't so obvious. I want to install tile on the inside of the house, just at the entrance (approx. 4'x4'), to complete my repairs.

How do I do it? Help please!

Thanks in advance (newbie)...

If you have any leftover wood from the original installation, you can use a piece to set the blade depth on your circular saw. cut out whatever shape you want the tiles to be when you are finished. Remove the wood and the adhesive from the subfloor. Next lay the tiles leaving a 1 inch space between the wood and tile. Cover that space with a t-moulding.
