Kitchen molding over edge-gaps

Question on expansion gaps for wood floor around kitchen cabinets:

I see no problem in using a 1/4-round molding in the kickspace for kitchen cabinets but I have both a counter/cabinet depth refridge cabinet "box" and a slide-in stove/oven. Usually the
finish flooring goes into those 2 openings.

Do I need to leave a gap and use 1/4 round in those openings as well?

thx

You will need a minimal gap, but it depends if the gap is going to be seen, once the appliance is installed.
