Cool Cracking laminate floor

the kitchen in our new home had laminate floor installed prior to the installation of cabinets. frig, stove and freezer now also sit on the laminate. our floor joists are engineered so that there is no movement.when walking on the floor, the laminate makes crackling soundsparticularly between the 2 sides of our 12' galley kitchen. why does the floor crackle and snap? builder is stumped.

If it is a floating laminate floor, cabinets should not have been installed on top. The floor needs to float and expand and contract. If you know the brand and the product, call the manufacturer or look for installation instructions online. Most major manufacturers have installation instructions posted online.
