Lightbulb Solid Hardwood Clear Coat?

Newbie to forum and we just bought our first house and we have three rooms that have real hardwood flooring. We are needing to put a clear coat Polyurethane over the floors. Can anyone give me a brand that you have tried that works? We have looked at something from Walmart, but you can't get any bubbles and so on really a big mess and a pain. Want something that is good will give me that forever clear shine, but easy to apply.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on becoming a home owner!

Bubbles in poly are most often caused by shaking the can. Poly should always be mixed using a stir stick.

Minwax is a decent brand that is readily available. Make sure the floor is clean and wax free before applying the poly. A light scuff sanding would also be a good idea. The poly can be applied with a brush, pad or roller. Brush or pad will give the best finish!

I use Minwax as well. Keep in mind that nothing will be forever.
