How To Float

How do I float a kitchen floor when the center area will contain a rather large Kitchen Island which sits on four legs. The floor must go completely under the island since it is visible.??

Help??

It will be no problem to put the island on top of the floor, provided that you don't attach it to the sub floor. Water or electric lines could be tricky though. I would suggest thin padding so the floor doesn't sink under the weight of the cabinet.

The same trim as you placed around your other cabinets, where you allowed for expansion space. DO NOT SET CABINETS ON A FLOATING FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you mean "DON'T ATTACH IT TO THE FLOOR!!!!!" or "DON'T PLACE ANYTHING ON TOP OF A FLOATING FLOOR!!!!!"?
