Engineered Floor to Concrete Slab
I have to patch/add 4 square feet of Woodloc engineered flooring to an existing kitchen floor. It looks like the existing flooring was glued to linoleum (that was probably the original floor covering). I think what I need to do is put some kind of vapor barrier over the concrete slab then put the new flooring over it. My questions are:
1) what kind of material should I use for the barrier?
2) what kind of adhesive should I use for both the barrier and the flooring?
Thanks

Bostik TKO or EFA
I recommend a one-shot solution - Bostik TKO urethane
adhesive. I had great vapor barrier qualities "built in" and
you wouldn't need to put a barrier down.
Bostik EFA would work too. It has less of a vapor rating, but
if it's a relatively dry slab you can get away with it. I would
not recommend Bostik best. Lumb Liq usually carries Bostik's
full line of products.
Tips: Clean while you go, or you'll regret it. Use denatured
alcohol. Also, a 3/16x3/16 notch trowel. Needless to say
you should rip up the linoleum completely in the patch area.
