painting vinyl wood planks

We bought a house that has light oak vinyl plank flooring in the kitchen. I would like for it to be a darker wood. Does anyone know if you can apply any type stain/paint to vinyl plank flooring without ruining the composition of the floor?

Welcome to the forums! It is doubtful you will be able to successfully change the color on a permanent basis without really making a mess of it. The product will not take stain well, and paint will just peel off of the finished floor.

agreed. and even if the paint did stick. it probably wouldn't wear well. and end up much worse looking than what you have.

so. live with it, or replace it.
