Installing hardwood flooring near banister

I'm currently in the process of installing 3/4 hardwood flooring and am unsure how to tackle the banister. To remove the one side would possible, but the other side would create a larger problem. I am attaching some pictures, and would appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks

I would recommend a Fein Multimaster or similar tool, saw it back enough to remove the bevel and lay the floor up to the new square edge. If the elevation of the banister is pretty close to the 3/4" hardwood, you could even drop a t-mold between the two if your cut is a little rough.

Sounds good, something I think I can handle. Thanks and I appreciate your time. Now if it would only stop raining, and dry up. Terry
