different color laminate hardwood flooring OK?
I would like to take out my stained carpet in our living room and replace it with laminate hardwood. There is laminate hardwood installed in the rest of our downstairs. However, that type has now been discontinued according to Home Depot. Do you think it would look bad to have a different color laminate. I wouldn't try to match the other laminate, but would actually prefer a much darker shade. There are 2 entrances to my living room where the other laminate would butt up against the new laminate. Thoughts on this?

In my opinion laminate against laminate looks cheesy. Any chances of replacing the old laminate and run the new in all areas?
That's my opinion and I'm not against laminate floors either.

Thanks for the opinion!! I agree that it could very likely look cheesy and that's definitely not what I want 
Not financially possible to redo all the laminate so it will be the same. I'm going to either further investigate to see if I can somehow find any of the discontinued laminate that I already have or probably just replace the carpet (but a darker shade and no drinks/food allowed!)
