help! installing right now and really confused about something..

Currently starting to install laminate flooring. My product came with bord lengths in three sizes. I never noticed the advertised width of each board on the box until now – it’s 5.4 inches.

All of the boards, for all three lengths, came shipped with 2 boards already clicked together (so the width is actually 10.8 in per each “assembled” plank.

I didn’t even notice this until I put pressure on a combined plank and it came apart. I was digging the fact each plank was so wide..were they put together that way just for shipping and I’m actually supposed to unclick each 10.8 wide assembly? Or can I proceed this way?

Here’s a link btw…thanks!! Lumber Liquidators: 12mm Tanzanian Wenge Laminate

Does this make sense? Thanks!

Yes, it was put together for shipping. Sorry. You gotta unclick them, then put them together so the seams don't meet, then put them together. Let us know how it goes.
