buckled wood flooring

Hi I just purchased a home with wood flooring that has been buckled, just wanting to know if it was done by a water leak in bathroom in next room, {NO stress cracks are present just smell of mold. } and if so how do I repair such a problem with minimal cost. Thanks for helping.
