Need creative trim solution for base of stairs

When we moved into our home we removed the carpeting that covered our wooden staircase. Well- when we did this - it created a gap on our floor - between the pergo flooring and the stairs (where the carpet used to be). Now I need to figure out how to fill in the (aprox. 1/2 inch) gap -which is pretty jagged. Any ideas on trim options. The base of our stairs is round so it has been tough for us to figure out how to neatly fill the gap.

There are companies that sell trim for rounded applications. specifically for stair cases. I have some URL's but don't want to violate forum rules.

just google "trim for rounded stair cases". If you can't find what you are looking for there or don't want to order online without seeing the product, hit up the home stores and ask.

They most likely will know of something that can help you out.

Of course you could always heat up some trim and make it bendable but that's a pain without the equipment, knowledge, experience.

Also Google: Flex trim, Flexible trim, stair trim

Definitely do a search for the flexible trim....you don't want to fill the gap because you need to leave the expansion space.
