Laminate Woes

Help !!!

Thanks for your patience. The gaps are on the long side. I don't know why the boards are chipping so badly even though I try to seat the plastic bar above the tongue rather than directly against the board. I may have to re-do a couple of rows before going further?? As I say this is my first (& hopefully my last) installation so I want to do it right. I have been sweeping the area for each board & the boards themselves; it seemed to make a difference since two rows went in perfect.

I love the colour so I would not be adverse to spraying an adhesive on the tongue & groove area to seal the joints so they don't chip. Is this possible or even recommended?

I'll wait for your reply before continuing my project.
