what size flooring staples

my subfloor is either 5/8 or 3/4 OSB tg. The oak is 3/4. and a layer of felt.
Would 1 1/2 work or would you use 2 inch? I think 2 would go thru the bottom of the OSB. I dont think there is romex there but would rather stay well away if it is. what do you think..??

Although 1 1/2" may work, remember the staples are going in at an angle. I always use 2" or greater and have never run in to a problem with wiring. Most wiring is fastened mid joist and not jammed up against the subflooring. If you have doubt and have the opportunity, check it out first.
