quarry tiles

is it possible to lay laminate flooring on top of quarry tiles in our lounge? also there is a small hollow in the floor and we need to level it before commencing with any kind of flooring. how do we do this as the quarry tiles are quite thick to dig up?? please help, we are novices with very little money!!!

Alan12, Laminate floors can be installed over top of existing tile floors. Check with the maufacturer as to any restrictions. As for patching the hollow spots, you may consider reoving the hollow tile and using an ardex type product(available at most tile supply houses)also known as a floor leveler, where the hollow tile were removed.
