scotchguard on prefinished floors

Does anyone have any experience with scotchguard on prefinished hardwood floors? Is it worth the extra cost?
Thanks,
Heather

I had to register just to reply to this thread. I was pretty excited when I found out my builder was putting in hardwood with scotchguard. Seemed like a good idea. It isn't!

While it may protect it from spills it makes dents and scratches MUCH worse. It's inevitable that you will dent your hardwood floors slightly, well this stuff acts like wax when it's bent. It turns white. So it makes a small scratch stick out! I had hardwood without this coating and scratches were not near as visable. I suggest you do not get this coating.
