I am prepared to install 3/4" strip hardwood over 3/4" plywood subfloor with a basement.
The subfloor is at 14% moisture content and the 3/4" strip is at 8%. The distributor said I should wait until the moisture content difference is 4% or less or the flooring may cup. Is this really that critical? I want to get the project started.

Cool

Alf:

Your distributor is right, but I've found in climates where there is alot of moisture present year round installing under those conditions is common. I'd strongly suggest you look at the nofma.org site.
