Question

I am starting off in my first home, with no prior home improvement experience. I have a small entry way and the former owner left some wood flooring. Can someone direct me to a sight that will give me instruction on installing? I have read about installing floating floor, but need more detail. The wood is tongue and groove, at least that is what I think it is called.

Almost all web flooring retailers have installation instructions on their web sites. First you'll need to figure out what kind (laminate, engineered, etc) and hopefully what brand you have (maybe it's stamped on the back or maybe you can find a matching product on the web). Installation instruction vary by type and brand.

Try http://www.ifloor.com/ or http://www.floorshop.com/ or http://www.hoskinghardwood.com/ or
any of a million others.

You can also go to the home improvement tv show sites (such as: www.TLC.com, then to "daytime" then to "The How to Crew". Another good site is www.hometime.com)
Lowe's and Home Depot also feature some articles on the subject in their sites.
Good luck!

John is right. Pick your floor and use the mfgs. instructions.
