Hardwood flooring in family room squeaks

Several years ago I installed oak hardwood flooring with a floor nailer in my family room as part of the addition I built. In the winter time all is fine but when the weather gets warmer the floor squeaks loudly whenever anyone walks on it. Underneath the problem area is a open craw-space like area. Is there a way to fix that problem and how can I do it? The problem area is toward the back outside wall and is from two to three feet from the wall.

Since you can get underneath.. the only thing I can think of doing is trying to add shims between the floor joists the the sub floor above them, to tighten any gaps that are there.
Its too late to do anything from above in the room itself.
I usually screw down the old floor, near the original nails before laying a new floor and reset any nails that may have popped up.
Good luck with shim idea.
