Thanks. On solid 3/4-inch wide plank (7" --> 3") install over 1 1/2" plywood on joists over a crawlspace: what is the maximun (amount of drop or rise in subfloor per what length run, in order to achieve maximum reliability of finished floor?

If you are using fasteners 1 1/2" or longer, the subfloor needs to be flat to 1/4" per 10' or 3/16" per 6'.
